About this shop
Fresh Fish Live Bait VHF CH 80 is a highly popular on-the-water bait service operating out of Destin, Florida. During the peak fishing season from May through October, they position their main vessels near the Destin Harbor inlet and East Pass Jetties starting right at daylight. Anglers heading out can easily hail the crew on VHF Channel 80 to confirm their exact position, pull alongside the boat, and purchase premium live bait directly through a net exchange. Because they operate entirely on the water, transactions are strictly cash-only, and arriving close to sunrise is highly recommended as high demand during snapper season can lead to quick sellouts.
The service specializes in top-tier, wild-caught local varieties ideal for both heavy reef fishing and nearshore action. Their live bait inventory typically includes premium cigar minnows, hardtails, speedos, pilchards, and herring. Additionally, they complement their boat-side operations with a land-based storefront in the local area that ensures a steady supply of high-quality live shrimp for inshore and bay trips.
